Presentation Zen

We have all experienced death by PowerPoint and yet we don’t change. I took time in the last week to re-read Garr Reynold’s Presentation Zen.  I regard it as the definitive book on the subject of slide presentations. The wisdom noted here can apply to any visual presentation and now especially to websites. Simple is best

Living in Japan doesn’t hurt Reynold’s understanding of simplicity. Anyone who has ever visited a zen garden understands the beauty of not going overboard.  Reynolds outlines the principles in a straight forward manner and moves on to show concrete examples of improving slides in terms of placement and emphasis.  You can now download the book to tablets and have the information at your fingertips when you need it.
